BTT’s permit tracking project, a collaboration with Carleton University, reached a major milestone yesterday, with over 100 permit tagged with acoustic transmitters since March 2016! We are learning a lot about permit movement patterns and the data have already influenced permit harvest regulations, such as the expansion of the permit harvest season closure in the Special Permit Zone (SPZ) to include the month of April.
