Big Sky Anglers Renews Support of BTT as a Bronze Sponsor

Big Sky Anglers, a full service fly shop and guide service based in West Yellowstone, Montana, has renewed its support of Bonefish & Tarpon Trust’s conservation efforts as a Bronze Corporate Sponsor.

“We are super excited to lend a hand in the conservation efforts led by BTT. We absolutely love what they are doing and our hope is to continue supporting them for years to come,” said shop owner and veteran guide Joe Moore. “Any time we can give back to the resource and support folks like this, we do it, no questions asked.”

Big Sky Anglers fly shop is located on the corner of West Yellowstone’s historic Canyon Street and Madison Avenue, which was occupied by Bud Lilly’s Trout Shop for over fifty years. In 2016, veteran local guides / outfitters Joe Moore (Big Sky Anglers), Justin Spence (The West Yellowstone Fly Shop), and Jonathan Heames (Jonathan Heames Fly Fishing) merged their individual businesses and acquired Bud Lilly’s Trout Shop. In 2019, they will be opening a boutique hotel in West Yellowstone by the name of Golden Stone Inn. The entire operation, including all outfitting and the fly shop, is now known as Big Sky Anglers, which guides throughout Yellowstone Country and coordinates destination trips in the U.S. and abroad. With over 55 years of combined guiding and fly shop experience in West Yellowstone, Big Sky’s founding partners are carrying on the tradition started by Bud Lilly so long ago, while adding their own unique voice and vision to the business.

“We appreciate Big Sky’s continuing support of our mission” said Jim McDuffie, BTT’s President and CEO. “Together, we are making great progress in conserving the flats fishery, which will help ensure you’ll always find fish on your favorite flats destination.”
