Cheeca Lodge & Spa Renews Support of BTT as a Bronze Sponsor

Located in The Sportfishing Capital of the World, Islamorada’s Cheeca Lodge & Spa is a premier destination for fly and conventional anglers. With its rich history, incredible ambiance and five-star service, Cheeca Lodge has reintroduced the seamless blend of oceanside luxury and casual comfort through a $25 million renovation that touches every aspect of the resort, including the main lodge and all 214 guestrooms, suites and bungalows, as well as meeting and event spaces, the serene spa, multiple dining outlets, and the stunning palm-fringed grounds.

“We’re pleased to offer this donation and sponsorship to Bonefish Tarpon Trust,” says Paul Burke, Area General Manager of Cheeca Lodge & Spa. “We have always placed strong efforts on environmental causes in the Florida Keys and beyond and will continue to do so with support of this great cause.”

As Islamorada grows and develops, the resort continues to be a favorite among avid fishermen, yet the lodge’s offerings in recent years have expanded to cater to families, wedding parties, honeymooners, international travelers and more. Cheeca Lodge remarkably handles the growing interest in Islamorada while preserving all of the old fishing village charm that familiar visitors cherish. It is this balance of history and modernity, luxury and laid-back, old charm and new energy that has cemented Cheeca Lodge as the centerpiece of Islamorada.

“We appreciate Cheeca Lodge’s partnership and generous support of our mission,” said BTT President Jim McDuffie. “Cheeca has demonstrated its commitment to conservation over its storied history. With this gift to BTT, it is continuing that legacy with support of our efforts to ensure clean water and healthy fisheries.”
