We are pleased to announce that the 2020 BTT Photo Contest is open for submissions!
Send us your very best images from the flats. We’re looking for inspiring, high quality images in two categories: Best Fish Handling Practices and Healthy Habitat.
To enter: Please submit all contest photos before May 1, 2020 to Nick Roberts (nick@bonefishtarpontrust.org), with the subject line “BTT Photo Contest.” Photos submitted should be no larger than 15 MB in JPEG format. Please provide your full name, address, and phone number with the entry, as well as a short description of the image(s). Each participant may submit up to three photos for the contest.
The top 20 images, chosen by BTT staff, will be shared in a BTT Facebook Photo Album and the voting for the People’s Choice Award will be public.
First Place: The winning photo will be featured on BTT social media and in an issue of the Bonefish & Tarpon Journal. The winning photographer will receive a TFO Mangrove Series 8-weight fly rod and a BTT Prize Pack.
Second Place: The runner-up photo will be featured on BTT’s social media and may be published in a future issue of the Bonefish & Tarpon Journal. The photographer will receive a dozen Orvis saltwater flies and a BTT Prize Pack.
Third Place: The photo will be featured on BTT’s social media and may be published in a future issue of the Bonefish & Tarpon Journal. The photographer will receive a BTT Prize Pack.
The winners will be announced by May 6, 2020.
Eligibility: You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to enter the contest. BTT board members, employees, interns, and partners of Bonefish & Tarpon Trust, as well as their immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children), are not eligible to enter.
Entry Period: The 2020 Bonefish & Tarpon Trust Photo Contest begins at 12:00 pm EST on March 31, 2020 and ends at 11:59 pm EST on May 1, 2020. Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible.
Judging of photos for inclusion in the 2020 BTT Photo Contest Facebook Album will be based on originality, artistic and technical excellence, composition, impact and subject matter relevant to the contest. Judging will be conducted by a panel of the Bonefish & Tarpon Trust staff. Judging for the People’s Choice Awards will be public (each BTT Facebook follower is limited to one vote).
