Following a successful collaboration in February 2020, Bonefish & Tarpon Trust has teamed up again with Miami-based apparel company Jigalode on a limited edition tech shirt and cap that aligns with the annual spring migration of permit to Western Dry Rocks, the most important permit spawning site in the Lower Keys.
“We’re excited to partner again with Bonefish & Tarpon Trust,” said Damian Fernandez, founder of Jigalode. “Since we last collaborated, the world has changed in many ways. 2020 also reminded us how important fishing—and the time spent outdoors—is to our mental and physical health. That’s why it’s so important to us here at Jigalode to support organizations like the BTT.”
Last year’s collaboration featured tarpon and bonefish. This time around, Jigalode chose to highlight the permit, another Grand Slam species that BTT strives to conserve. In a major win for permit, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) recently passed a regulation that prohibits all fishing at the Western Dry Rocks during prime spawning permit season (April 1-July 31).
To help BTT continue to fight for a healthy future of our fisheries, Jigalode is donating 20 percent of the proceeds from the new Jigalode x BTT Collection to BTT. Your purchase of the BTT Permit Performance Fishing Hoodie or BTT Permit Bundle also includes a one-year introductory membership to BTT. Click HERE to shop the collection!
