Position Description
The Membership Coordinator/Database Manager manages programs that acquire, renew, and engage BTT members. The position is the primary point of contact for members and is responsible for ensuring excellent member support services. The Membership Coordinator/Database Manager is responsible for maintaining member records and ensuring the integrity of the organization’s database.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Membership Coordinator/Database Manager is responsible for managing a membership program that acquires new members, renews existing members and engages members in BTT’s mission. This includes providing member support services and management of BTT’s database, including entry. Among the duties and responsibilities, S(he) will:
- Serve as BTT’s primary contact with members and ensure excellent member service in all inquiries.
- Work closely with the Director of Development and external vendors to plan and implement goal-based member acquisition campaigns and member/donor renewal programs.
- Work closely with the Director of Development and corporate partners to identify and secure products and services for use as incentives in membership campaigns.
- Enter member giving and maintain BTT’s database and generate reports as needed to plan membership activities, track performance and produce member/donor recognition lists.
- Produce acknowledgement letters and other receipts for select members and donors and ensure the same for members administered through outsourced.
- Oversee BTT’s online store.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements for the Membership Coordinator/Database Manager position include:
- Bachelor’s Degree and two or more years relevant experience in membership, fundraising, marketing, public relations and/or communications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
- Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge preferred; ability to become proficient quickly required.
- Ability to thrive in a small office environment and work collaboratively with others.
- Ability to travel on an occasional basis.
- Demonstrated ability in using discretion where appropriate and maintaining confidentiality in all matters, especially pertaining to donors and their records.
Compensation
Competitive among non-profit organizations and commensurate with experience.
Location
The Membership Coordinator/Database Manager is based in Coconut Grove, Florida. This is an in-office position. Alternate work locations will not be considered.
