Associate Director of Development
Alex Powers

Alex grew up in New York City, but spent the summers in Northern Maine on a remote lake where he began fishing for smallmouth bass and brook trout when he was 5 years old.

At age 7, his aunt and uncle moved to Bozeman, MT where he discovered the world famous trout fishing of South Western Montana.

After college, a friend took him on his first flats fishing trip to Casa Blanca lodge in Ascension Bay, Mexico.  This trip would turn out be the first of many which ultimately led Alex to start a fly fishing travel company in 2003 and then join the Bonefish & Tarpon Trust in 2017.

Alex currently serves as Associate Director of Development for BTT, focusing on fundraising.
