Nick Roberts grew up in North Carolina, earning a BA in English from Duke University and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he served as the Fiction Editor of the award-winning literary journal, Ecotone. Before joining the Bonefish & Tarpon Trust staff in 2016, Nick worked as a fly-fishing guide and freelance writer in Asheville, NC. He has written about fly-fishing, the environment, and travel for a number of magazines, including Garden & Gun, Field & Stream, Gray’s Sporting Journal, Anglers Journal, The Drake, Fly Rod & Reel, and American Angler. He has also written about conservation issues for Patagonia, Orvis, Simms, and the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership. His photography has appeared in Gray’s Sporting Journal, Field & Stream, Garden & Gun online, Anglers Journal, American Angler, and elsewhere.
Nick directs Bonefish & Tarpon Trust’s marketing, communications, and membership programs and serves as Editor of Bonefish & Tarpon Journal.
