Phil grew up in suburban Chicago and learned to fish and hunt in northern Wisconsin. He went to high school in Connecticut and studied economics at the University of Colorado. Most of his professional career was in banking, until 2020 when he transitioned into nonprofit fundraising. Phil caught his first bonefish later in life and was immediately hooked. He is inspired by his wife and two daughters who share his love for fly fishing and in conserving these amazing species for future generations.
Phil works with individual donors and foundations that wish to make an impact in sportfishing conservation and restoring habitat.
